We decide to categorize “Entertainment and Gaming” into the following five sectors:

  3. Arts
  4. Media Entertainment
  5. Music

We seek to promote academic research on the ‘contents industries’, which have long been recognised as an important field in Japan. In order to enhance human welfare and wellbeing, it is essential to adopt an ‘entertainment’ perspective across these five sectors.
