Who we are
The association advances knowledge across entertainment and gaming sectors by coordinating research, fostering collaboration among scholars and industry partners to inform policy and practice.
We bring together researchers, practitioners, and industry partners to examine how entertainment and gaming create cultural, social, and economic value.
Our work includes empirical studies of player and audience behaviour, policy and market analysis, and collaborative projects with stakeholders across esports and video games, sports, music, arts, and media entertainment.
By connecting academic insight with real-world practice, the association aims to support evidence-based decision-making and foster sustainable growth in the content industry in Japan and abroad.

The development of academic research may foster the strength of Japanese economy and reinforce the international competitiveness of this industry. Therefore, it is very important for us to take an initiative to establish a research community in collaboration with the industry in Japan and abroad.
